BARELY OPEN PHARMACEUTICALS LLC

Brooke “Leanne” Buzuma was born and raised in Moneta, Virginia, beginning March 12, 1993 during the blizzard of ‘93. She graduated from Staunton River High School of Moneta, Virginia in 2011 and began a career in retail as she began college for a mathematics degree. After a few semesters she switched to a degree in the engineering field, but due to self funding for college, Leanne ultimately left in 2013 when the weight of college and two jobs was too much to handle. 

She began a variety of careers in customer service, finance and fraud operations as well as marketing that has helped give her a foundation in effectively spreading our advocacy message to the public for medical marijuana use.

Leanne started Barely Open Pharmaceuticals LLC with the goal of offering her hometown in central VA an alternative to the opiate crises; instead of a methadone clinic, why not open a medical marijuana dispensary instead? 

Through monthly community discussions over the next year, we hope to garner trust with the local community of Moneta, Va and the larger community around Smith Mountain Lake.
